Doves in flight, cut small and set close, three to a side on a 24 cm cream taper. Cut by hand from chilled sheets of coloured wax, pressed on one at a time. Cherry red and burgundy read warm by candlelight; dusty rose and rosewater are for the softer end of the table — a quiet favourite for weddings. Sold as a pair — twelve doves in all.

How to burn
The wick comes already trimmed to the right length, so you can light it straight away. The motifs are cut from coloured wax and pressed on, not painted on — as the candle burns down, they soften and blend in. If you want to keep the last decorated section as a keepsake, blow it out with about 4 cm to go.
Care
Never leave a burning candle alone. Store your candles somewhere cool and dark — in a warm summer window, coloured wax softens and picks up fingerprints. If a taper warps slightly in transit, roll it gently between your palms for 30 seconds and it'll straighten.
